This guide shows you in five easy steps how to buy Bitcoin, Ethereum and other cryptocurrencies.

Step 01

The first step to buy cryptocurrencies is to choose a crypto exchange.
I chose Coinbase as it is one of the most popular, trusted and secure Crypto Exchanges out there.

Step 02

create your account

Once you are on the Coinbase Page, you will see fields to enter your firstname, lastname, e-mail and a password.
Fill out the fields, confirm that you are at least 18 years old and press the button to create your account.

Be sure to enter your real contact details, as you will have to verify your identity in the next step.

Coinbase will now guide you step by step through the registration process. Should you for some reason cancel this process, you can simply login into your Coinbase account and look for a section that says "Complete Your Account", to finish all necessary steps.

After accepting the privacy policy and rejecting/accepting the newsletter, you will receive an e-mail to confirm your e-mail address. Click on the button or link in the e-mail and you have successfully confirmed your e-mail address.

Step 04

add a payment method

Once you have verified your identity you can add a payment method.

Now again, depending on the country you are from you will have different options.
Choose one you like and follow the instructions shown on the page. Adding a Bank Account will give you the most freedom. You can add additional payment methods any time in your Coinbase account.

Always be sure to use the right reference code!
Also note, that the amount of money you deposit to verify your bank account, will be added to your Coinbase account.
